What we plan to do

We have spoken to young people, community groups, local businesses, schools and colleges to understand what can be done.

Burnley’s Thrive Hub and network is improving and creating new pathways to develop a better youth employment system.

Young people should have control and choice over their careers and so Thrive is all about an approach which is driven by you, all about what you want, supportive when you need it and accessible to everyone.

We know that employers in Burnley want to recruit locally and have concerns over an ageing workforce.

The Feedback we had from employers showed there was a desire to employ young people in their workforce but needed the support to do so.
